Frankie Ghee

Frankie Valinda Ghee has been singing, writing and performing for over 45 years. She has performed professionally as a soloist and with ensembles in a variety of genres including, jazz, rock, folk, pop, country, and classical. She has been featured as lead and back-up vocalist on several recordings including, most recently, two solo folk CD’s which are currently available through iTunes, and CDbaby.com.

Frankie’s current project is solo, acoustic music. In addition to her original music, Frankie performs covers of 80’s pop/rock, jazz standards, and oldies (50s-2010s). The tie that binds her selections together is joy. These are memorable, sing-able songs. Frankie loves music and wants her audiences to share joy. While many of the songs might be sad on the face, Frankie loves a good sing-a-long and invites her audiences join in from their seats when they hear one they know.
Frankie’s style is simple and easy to listen to, just a guitar, a voice and her audience.

Frankie was inspired by her twelve plus years of teaching middle school choir, to create and develop a Music and Character Education integration program called AROUND THE PIANO/Character Building Songs (ATP), allaroundthepiano.com.

Through ATP Frankie brings group singing, character exploration and team-building to participants of all ages and a wide variety of backgrounds, abilities and skill levels. Frankie has earned a Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning. She has BA in Music Education and a BS in Microbiology.
